Artbound is about active philanthropy. We ask the world not only to be the audience for students and young aspiring artists, but also to take action and be part of the change that will help break the cycle of poverty.
100% of all sponsorship of The Artbound pARTy went directly to support Free The Children, and more specifically the building of the secondary
school and arts centre in Kenya. The school is now fully operational and teaches full curriculum, as well as sustainable skills that empower young women for years to come to live better lives, including:
- arts and crafts that generate income
- crop rotation and effective fertilization
- healthy sanitation habits
- managing a household budget
Grammy Award Winner Nelly Furtado, First Soloist Jillian Vanstone from The National Ballet of Canada, and many other artists were part of the team in Kenya.
